To work with Sodium, installation of the experimental Indium mod is required. Optifine is not supported and will not work.

Performance

Starting from version 2.1.0, thanks to the new greedy meshing system, the impact on game performance is minimal. The mod demonstrates excellent optimization compared to older versions and similar solutions.

Use the creative tab to obtain mod items. The /give command with bitsandchisels:bits_block or bitsandchisels:bit_item may cause issues.
