🔒 Block That Action - Block Unwanted Interactions!
A lightweight utility modification that gives you the ability to block interactions with specific blocks in the Minecraft world.
Whether it's a chest, crafting table, or any other interactive object - this mod provides complete control over what players can or cannot interact with during gameplay.
👨💻 Originally Created for Conquest
This modification was initially developed with Conquest Survival features in mind. In this project mode, many blocks have toggleable visual states (beams, door frames, support structures). During normal gameplay, players often accidentally activate these models when interacting with functional blocks like doors or tables.
To prevent such situations and preserve immersion, developers created this mod that allows locking interactions with selected blocks, ensuring preservation of their current appearance.
⚙️ How It Works
Block interaction restrictions are configured through the configuration file of the mod. You can:
- Specify restricted blocks directly in the configuration
- Designate a special tool, also configured in the configuration file, which players can use to bypass or remove restrictions
By default, this function uses an ordinary minecraft:stick
- Right-clicking with the tool temporarily bypasses set restrictions
- Holding Shift + right-click toggles active restrictions on the block
🎯 Applications
- Creative Builds: protection of decorative blocks from unwanted interactions
- Regular Survival Mode: preservation of visual toggles without risk of accidental changes
- Custom Maps and Adventure Worlds: precise control over how players interact with the environment
🔄 Compatibility
200 - Client-side only (local use for individual interaction restrictions)
200 - Server-side only (enforcement of restrictions on multiplayer servers)
200 - Client + Server (optimal solution providing full control)
