Block Update Disabler
Create the Impossible in Minecraft
Have you ever dreamed of creating floating torches or sand blocks suspended in mid-air? Tired of complicated methods for building such structures? Encountered issues where modded blocks fall to the ground when using WorldEdit? This mod is made specifically for you!
How It Works
The Block Update Disabler mod disables certain types of block updates that normally occur when neighboring blocks change. This opens up completely new creative possibilities: create floating sand, torches in the air, mix water with lava, create "broken" Nether portals, and much more. The mod also effectively solves most problems that arise when pasting structures through WorldEdit.
Functionality Control
You can activate or deactivate the mod's effect directly in the game using commands:
/gamerule preventBlockUpdates true
/gamerule preventBlockUpdates false
Note that this is a virtual game rule that does not appear in command autocompletion.
Important Warnings
- Always create world backups before using the mod. Compatibility with some mods may cause critical issues in the game.
- The mod does not disable block updates caused by their direct placement.
- Functionality is limited to certain types of block updates - this is a feature of how the mod works, not a bug.
