Boring Tweaks

IMPORTANT: Development of this mod has been discontinued. The 1.16 versions are the final ones. I decided to stop working on Boring Tweaks because compared to my other projects, it turned out to be less interesting. I might revisit the sound slider options in the future, but the mod itself is no longer being developed.

This mod offers a collection of small client-side enhancements that work exclusively on the player's side. It includes both noticeable changes and minor but useful additions. All features can be toggled on and off as desired, and some of them offer additional customization options.

Starting from version 1.0.0, the mod is compatible with Minecraft 1.16.2 and above and requires Fabric API installation. Boring Tweaks settings are accessible through Mod Menu, but you can also edit the configuration file directly at: .minecraft/config/boringtweaks.json5

Available Enhancements:

Volume Reduction When Inactive: Automatically lowers the sound level when the game window loses focus. The reduction percentage is configurable.

Smooth Day-Night Cycle: Eliminates abrupt transitions during the movement of the sun and moon, making the animation more natural. The smoothness level can be adjusted.

Audible Sound Sliders: Sliders in the sound settings menu produce clicking sounds when moved. By default, the sound plays every 10%, but this interval can be changed.

Dynamic Slider Volume: The clicking sound becomes quieter as you approach the zero value on the volume scale.

Larger Baby Villager Heads: Makes the heads of baby villagers larger, similar to the Bedrock edition. The size can be customized.

Mob Hat Layer Fix: Corrects the display of headwear on baby zombies and baby zombie pigmen (before their redesign). Currently mainly useful for custom texture packs.

Shadow in Debug Panel: Adds shadows to the text in the debug interface (summoned with F3 key), similar to the implementation in Forge.

Strider Easter Egg: It's an easter egg — find it yourself!
