Key Features
This modification significantly expands bow shooting mechanics, making it more strategic and thoughtful. Now you can hit enemies in vulnerable spots and consider various factors affecting shooting effectiveness.
The headshot system allows dealing increased damage with precise hits. Each mob has its own head zone configured with the ability to set size, position, and damage modifiers. Upon a successful headshot, you'll see spectacular critical particles confirming the accurate hit.
The new "arrow ramp-up" mechanic ensures realistic arrow behavior - damage is significantly reduced at close ranges, reaching maximum only after traveling a certain distance. Also, using bows becomes more difficult when wearing heavy armor, adding an additional tactical element to equipment choices.
New Equipment
The mod adds five new types of bows corresponding to the main game materials. Each bow has unique characteristics: shooting speed, durability, and usage features. More expensive bows have improved parameters, and all of them can shoot various items - from potions to ender pearls.
The quiver system deserves special attention. These items have three ammunition slots and are automatically used first when shooting. Quivers can be equipped separately or integrated into some types of chestplates without losing armor protection.
Improved Arrows and Armor
Six new arrow types offer diverse characteristics - from durability to damage based on the arrowhead material. Each arrow has a unique break chance upon hitting and increased lifetime on the ground.
The new studded leather armor is considered light and doesn't slow down shooting speed, while providing protection equivalent to iron armor. This armor is more durable and better enchanted.
Flexible Configuration
Almost all aspects of the modification can be individually configured through configuration files. You can disable unnecessary features or finely tune the balance to your playing style. Commands /boreload for reloading settings and /bodebug for enabling debug mode are available.
