Block Breaker & Block Placer

This mod introduces two new blocks into the game that perfectly fit Minecraft's vanilla aesthetic. Similar to the dispenser and dropper from the standard game, the breaker and placer are activated using a redstone signal.

Block Breaker breaks the block in front of it and places it in its inventory.

Block Placer places a random block from its inventory in the space in front of it.

Why Use This Mod?

If you've ever dreamed of being able to turn items into placed blocks and vice versa, this mod was made for you. Here are just a few examples of its applications:

• Automated cobblestone generators
• Hidden entrances without using pistons
• New redstone mechanisms (placer with a torch inside?)
• Automated cocoa bean farms

Balance and Limitations

During development, it became clear that block breakers could disrupt the survival balance in Minecraft (for example, breaking obsidian before the player obtains a diamond pickaxe).

For this reason, the breaker respects block harvestability settings. This means the breaker will only break the block in front of it when it has the correct tool.

A few simple examples:

• Breaker without tool - can break dirt, logs, fletching table, but not stone
• Breaker with wooden pickaxe - can break stone, coal ore, but not iron ore
• Breaker with shears - can break leaves, tall grass, peonies, but not stone

What are the mod's dependencies?

This mod has no extra dependencies

Is there a version for NeoForge/Fabric/Quilt?

Currently, there is a version for Fabric. NeoForge is not currently planned.
Quilt may work, but is not explicitly supported.

Can you backport the mod to Minecraft 1.X.X?

Unfortunately, I don't have time to backport this mod to earlier versions.
The mod will, in some form, support newer major versions of Minecraft.
