Builderdash - Construction Party Minigames

Transform Minecraft into an exciting platform for construction competitions! Builderdash offers a collection of minigames for groups of friends, operating on the Plasmid API for Fabric.

Important: The mod is installed only on the server! Regular Minecraft clients can connect to a server or local network where this mod is installed.

Available Game Modes

Competitive Mode

Start the game with the command /builderdash versus! In this mode, players are paired up and compete to see who can better realize the given theme in their construction. Each participant receives two different building assignments. After the construction phase is completed, the works of players who received identical themes are compared side by side, and the entire group votes for the best build.

Additional options:

• /builderdash versus double - extended version with two cycles of building and voting
• /builderdash versus fast - speed mode with reduced construction time
• /builderdash versus double fast - combination of extended and speed versions

"Guess the Word" Mode

Start the game with the command /builderdash pictionary! One player builds an object based on a given word, while the others try to guess what it is. Quick correct answers earn more points for both the guessers and the builder. The system gradually shows hints with the letter count and some revealed characters.

Additional option:

• /builderdash pictionary double - each player becomes the builder twice

"Broken Telephone" Mode

Start with the command /builderdash telephone! An entertaining chain of interpretations: players come up with themes, then build based on others' themes, and afterward guess what is depicted in others' builds. In the end, the author of the original theme sees how their concept transformed through several stages.

Additional options:

• /builderdash telephone double - increased number of rounds
• /builderdash telephone fast - speed mode with limited time
• /builderdash telephone double fast - combined option

Configuration and Management

Adding Custom Themes

You can create your own theme lists for all game modes. Simply compile a comma-separated list and use the commands:

• /builderdash versus addwords My,Themes,List - add to existing ones
• /builderdash versus setwords My,Themes,List - replace all themes
• /builderdash versus resetwords - restore the standard list

Similar commands are available for the "Guess the Word" mode. For working with long lists, it's recommended to use command blocks.

Access Rights

For fine-tuning permissions, install LuckPerms or another permission management system. Available rights:

• builderdash.any.open - launch any minigames
• builderdash.<game>.open - launch a specific game
• builderdash.any.edit - edit theme lists
• builderdash.<game>.edit - edit themes for a specific game
• builderdash.toolbox - access to construction tools

Useful Tips

• Use the abbreviation /bd instead of /builderdash for quick access to all commands
• The command /builderdash toolbox opens a set of construction tools for creativity
• If connection is lost in "Broken Telephone" mode, you can return with the command /game join builderdash:telephone
