Burning Torches
Farewell, Eternal Light!
The Burning Torches mod fundamentally changes the familiar torch mechanics in Minecraft. Now they don't burn forever but gradually burn out, adding elements of realism and survival to the game. You can no longer just place a torch and forget about it!
Main Features
When a torch starts to go out, you can extend its burning time by using wooden planks or coal (default settings). If light isn't needed, extinguish the torch with an empty bucket to save it for future use. Later you can easily relight it using flint and steel.
Regular torches still generate in the world, but starting from version 1.0.1, their drops can be changed, and the standard crafting recipe is removed (this can be enabled in settings or modified via datapack).

- Configurable entity ignition when standing on torch (version 1.0.5+)
- Configurable block ignition next to torch (version 1.0.5+)
- Ability to place unlit torches (version 1.0.5+)
- Burning pumpkins (version 1.1.0+) - protect from hostile mobs and don't go out in rain
- Tag support for fine-tuning
- Soot marks at burned torch locations for easy replacement (version 4.0.0+)
- Llamas hate fire and extinguish open flames (version 4.0.0+)
