Better With Mods
Better With Mods (BWM) is a modification that significantly expands and enhances the standard version of Minecraft. The mod is built around three main modules, each contributing to the gameplay in its own way.
Main Mod Modules
Gameplay Module serves as the foundation of BWM. It adds numerous new blocks, items, food, and other elements that seamlessly integrate with vanilla Minecraft.
Tweaks Module focuses on small but important changes that improve game convenience and balance. Examples include:
- Mobs always drop their equipment
- Mob heads dropping
- Animals fleeing from danger
- Renewable end stone
- Creeper shearing
- And much more!
Hardcore Module fundamentally alters game balance, making it more challenging and requiring strategic thinking. Unlike other mods, the emphasis here is on gameplay decisions rather than complex crafting recipes. Many features encourage automation and the use of standard Minecraft mechanics.
Examples of hardcore changes:
- Buckets cannot create liquid sources
- Hunger system with overweight effects (requires Applecore)
- Different materials affect movement speed
- Redesigned beacon system
- Limited player spawn area
- World divided into three stone layers
Flexible Configuration
Similar to the Quark mod, Better With Mods offers an extremely flexible configuration system. You can customize almost every aspect: recipes, tweaks, hardcore mechanics, and much more. The tweaks and hardcore modules can be completely disabled through the configuration file.
