Caloric Regulation
This simple yet functional mod restricts the ability to consume food items when your hunger level isn't sufficiently low for them. You can now only eat food when your current hunger deficit exceeds the amount of energy that particular food restores.
Important restrictions also apply to special types of provisions - for example, golden apples with their unique properties. In practice, this creates a global cooldown for foods that provide potion effects. However, this interval can be reduced through active combat actions: sprinting, jumping, dodging (if the mechanic is supported), and healing.
Also pay attention to the satiation period from food with high saturation values - during such moments you may find yourself unable to consume food that provides temporary stat improvements.
