CapabilityProxy

This mod requires the Cyclops Core library!

Solving the problem of interacting with different sides of a block? That's now in the past!

With Capability Proxy, you can extend the capabilities (or block APIs in Fabric) of one side of a target block to five additional sides.

Proxy Types

Version 2.1.0 introduced Entity Capability Proxy and Item Capability Proxy, which allow interaction with entities and items through blocks!

Regular proxies work with neighboring blocks, while ranged proxies have a range of 16 blocks (configurable).

Crafting and Usage

Point the proxy towards a block with capabilities, and all these capabilities will become accessible from the proxy block itself.

All types of capabilities work: items, fluids, energy...
Even block interactions will be forwarded, including opening interfaces.

When the target block is missing, the proxy enters an inactive state.

Up to five additional sides are available for interaction.

If five sides aren't enough, you can chain proxies together to get even more available sides.

Entity Capability Proxy

When entities have capabilities, this block allows you to interact with them as if they were a regular block.

The following examples show how to transfer items into a dropped Shulker Box. (This requires installation of Common Capabilities)

Item Capability Proxy

When an item is placed in this block, you can interact with it as if it were the block itself. In this example, the proxy contains a tank, and its fluids are exported into the world using Integrated Tunnels.

You can transfer different proxied items only through the indicated side (in this example - the bottom side).

If you're having trouble interacting with certain blocks like the Composter, try installing Common Capabilities, which adds capabilities to blocks that don't have them by default.

This mod collects anonymized startup data, which can be disabled in the configuration file, adhering to Minecraft's snooper settings.
