Career Bees – Professional Workers

An addon for Forestry that adds numerous new bee species inspired by real-world human professions.

Getting Started

To begin breeding professional bees, cross 'common' and 'cultivated' bees using a bookshelf as a foundation. Further mutations can be studied using the Escritoire or mods like JEI Bees.

Important: this mod is in early development stage, many features are still in work and may change.

New Bee Species and Their Abilities

Student Bees

Cross: Common + Cultivated (requires bookshelf) Drones can be shift-right-clicked on an apiary to receive notifications when the queen is depleted.

Collecting Bees

Student + Common Pick up items left by others within their territory.

Graduate Bees

Student + Common Restore eff ect chromosomes of professional bees that have lost them. Place the bee you wish to retrain on a nearby flower pedestal.

PHD Bees

Student + Graduate Possess retraining ability (see Graduates).

Artistic Bees

Graduate + Cultivated Create works of art and hang them up nearby.

Bensen Bees

Artistic + Boggy Play jazz – the best that random number generators can produce. Gather a large band for optimal eff ect.

Armorer Bees

Graduate + Graduate (requires anvil) Buff armor placed on nearby fl ower pedestals.

Police Bees

Graduate + Valiant Attack nearby mobs and collect drops (with high luck rating).

Sharpening Bees

Graduate + Armorer Sharpen weapons on fl ower pedestals.

Lumber Bees

Graduate + Forest Bite small pieces of bark from nearby trees. Trees are not harmed permanently, and bark pieces can be crafted into full logs.

Husbandry Bees

Graduate + Meadows Breed animals together within their territory.

Smelter Bees

Graduate + Modest (requires furnace) Smelt items placed on nearby fl ower pedestals.

Repair Bees

Armorer + Sharpening Repair items on pedestals.

Business Bees

PHD + Imperial Take items from adjacent inventories and sell them to Testifi cates for emeralds. Take a small commission on each sale.

Junk Seller Bees

Business + Common Buy random items from Testifi cate market, taking emeralds from nearby inventories.

Butcher Bees

Graduate + Lumber Humanely slaughter adult animals within territory, keeping one pair of each species for breeding.

Yente Bees

Student + Husbandry Automate bee breeding. Shift-right-click Yente princess on apiary – she will select the drone with best traits.

Rainbow Bees

Artistic + PHD Produce dyes of all colors.

Mason Bees

Graduate + Smelter Chisel nearby cobblestone into stone bricks.

Science Bees

PHD + Industrious (...and other specializations continue in the same manner)
