CartLoad

A small mod that makes minecarts dynamically load surrounding chunks, but only while moving.

This is a completely standalone modification that doesn't require any additional library mods. Also doesn't need manual configuration - just add it to the server, and it will start working immediately.

Working Principle and Features

Unlike classic chunkloader carts, these minecarts stop loading chunks when they stop moving.

Such a dynamic loading system prevents various strange bugs related to minecarts disappearing or duplicating at chunk borders. These problems occur due to conflicts during chunk loading and saving to disk. By forcibly loading the current chunk and the next chunk the minecart is heading to, the system completely eliminates such conflicts, ensuring constant active loading of necessary areas.

Chunk loading persists between server restarts, so minecarts that were moving continue moving when the world is reopened, even if there are no other chunk loading mechanisms nearby.

Important Information for Server Administrators

This mod can be used to obtain free unlimited chunk loading. It's recommended to install it only on servers where players won't abuse this functionality. The main purpose of the mod is for use in large bases with RailCraft and extensive transport networks where there's no need to constantly load the entire railway line.
