Cataclysmic Creepers

This mod brings creepers to life in terrifying new ways through unexpected transformations.

The core concept is built on the idea that creepers are plants, and plants grow - so why shouldn't creepers grow too? The modification implements this in its own unique fashion.

Plant-like Creepers

Creeper plants appear throughout the world, growing from special seeds (scattered across the game world in version 1.0). Over time, they develop into standard creepers, making early destruction advisable. A useful tip: wait until the plant reaches its final growth stage before destroying it to obtain extra loot.

Mutation Features

Regular creepers now have a 10% chance upon spawning to undergo extreme mutation. After approximately one Minecraft day (at normal game speed), such a mutant transforms into two creeper blocks.

Spreading Threat

Creeper blocks don't remain stationary - they actively spread and expand, forming a massive, repulsive mass with multiple heads and new growths. The resulting structure becomes a genuine nightmare and constant danger.

These blocks are extremely vulnerable to fire, making burning them straightforward, though this method yields no resources. An alternative collection method involves using a hoe, which provides experience points and gunpowder.

After sufficient growth time, the mass reaches a primed state and explodes, scattering numerous new creeper seeds that spawn additional monsters. Thus begins a new cycle of proliferation.
