ChessCraft
ChessCraft is a Paper plugin that brings realistic chess directly into the Minecraft world. Players can engage in exciting matches against each other or against a computer opponent.
Main Features
Imagine a full-fledged chessboard in the game! The set includes various piece options: you can use special 3D models through a resource pack or standard textured player heads to play without additional configuration.
The system automatically downloads the Stockfish engine, which powers the computer opponent and adapts to your operating system. All incomplete and completed matches are saved in history, and finished games can be exported in PGN format for further analysis in chess programs.
For the most ambitious players, there's an Elo rating system with a server leaderboard where you can track your achievements compared to other participants.
Installation
Installation is extremely simple: just place the plugin file in the "plugins" folder of your Paper server. Settings can be changed in the config.yml file at plugins/ChessCraft/config.yml.
By default, the plugin is configured to work with a resource pack containing special chess piece models. The resource pack can be downloaded and installed manually or integrated into an existing server resource pack.
How to Play
Creating a chessboard begins with the command /chess create_board
Pieces are controlled by simply right-clicking. An interesting feature: the plugin does not modify world blocks to create the board (except for the pieces themselves), allowing you to independently build the playing field in any style. If needed, you can use the /chess set_checkerboard command to automatically create a standard chessboard.
