Clans - Server-Side Land Protection and PvP Mod
Clans is a server-side mod for Forge that adds a command-based land protection and raiding system. Since this is a server-side mod, players don't need to install it to join your server and use its features.
Main Features
Clans are groups of players who share protected territory and its resources. Players outside the clan cannot:
- Take items from chests on clan territory
- Use doors, machines, and other blocks
- Destroy or place blocks
Clan members and their pets are protected from attacks by other players and their pets while on clan territory. Depending on server settings, forming a clan, claiming land, and maintaining its existence may require in-game currency. Clans may also charge rent from their members.
Raiding System
Raiding parties allow players to team up to attack other clans. Any player can join a raid as long as they're not part of the target clan. During a raid:
- Block protections on the target clan's territory work differently
- Broken blocks don't drop as items
- Placed blocks are not permanent
- All raid participants can build, break blocks, and attack players on clan territory
After the raid ends, all broken blocks are restored, and placed blocks disappear (they can be collected using /raid collect). Winning a raid gives raiders in-game currency from the clan's account, while losing results in losing the raid creation fee.
Ways to end a raid:
- Raid timer expires
- All raiders leave the raid or are killed
- All online clan members leave the territory or are killed
Server Territory Protection
Server administrators can create server clans to protect common territories using the /opclan setserver <clan> command. Server clans:
- Don't use bank accounts
- Cannot be raided
- Don't require members
- Cannot be disbanded by normal means
Administrators can also protect unclaimed lands (Wilderness) from damage while allowing underground mining.
Economic System
The mod uses Grand Economy or Sponge for all economic functions. Through Grand Economy, it supports currencies from Sponge-Based Economies, EnderPay, Forge Essentials, Pixelmon, and Grand Economy's built-in currency.

The mod offers extensive configuration options, including:
- Build and interaction protection
- Economy settings (clan formation cost, rent, upkeep)
- Claim count limits
- Raid settings (duration, cost, rewards)
- Lockable block lists
- Dynmap integration
Configuration File
The configuration allows fine-tuning all mod aspects, including formulas for economic calculations, allowed block lists, protection settings, and raid parameters.
