Clavis - Locked Chests with Skill-Based Rewards

Imagine a world where every treasure chest is protected by a lock, and the key to wealth becomes your skill. The Clavis mod completely transforms the traditional loot system, turning ordinary chest opening into an exciting mini-game of dexterity and reaction.

Mod Title

The better you perform in the lockpicking mini-game, the more generous the reward becomes - up to double the loot for perfect execution. This means your skills directly influence the rewards you receive.

Mod Showcase

Lock Difficulty System

The difficulty of lockpicking directly depends on the value of the chest's contents. The richer the loot inside, the more challenging the mini-game becomes: increased speed, additional tasks, and special rules that change gameplay. There are three main difficulty levels that can be identified by the color of the smiley in the mini-game interface and the color of the lock outline floating above the chest. This allows you to assess in advance whether a particular chest is worth your time.

Benefits for Players

  • Skills directly affect the amount of loot received
  • Chest opening becomes an exciting challenge instead of a routine click
  • Valuable items must be earned, not just found
  • Every chest becomes a small event in the game

Opportunities for Modpack Creators

  • Balancing dungeon loot in early game stages
  • Preventing acquisition of overly powerful items at the beginning of the game
  • Managing in-game economy and progression
  • Increasing player engagement through interactive elements

Clavis turns the ordinary process of opening chests into a full-fledged part of the adventure, where every find becomes a well-deserved reward for demonstrated skill.
