This mod offers an engaging animal breeding and farming system, despite its unusual name.
Farming System
Wild versions of some crops spawn rarely in the world. Some plants require trading with farmers to obtain. Grow them on regular farmland, as bushes, or use special trellises for climbing plants. Fruit trees grow in specific biomes - collect fruits from their leaves to create seeds for planting. You can also crossbreed compatible seeds to create hybrid varieties not found in nature.
Animal Care
Livestock requires regular feeding and drinking to maintain good mood. Without this, they won't be able to breed, will run away from you, or even attack! Create feeders, food bowls, and water containers - animals will approach them independently for feeding.
Breeding and Breeds
When breeding livestock, the resulting breed depends on the biome you're in. Different biomes provide various adapted breeds with unique characteristics. These characteristics affect meat quantity, hide quality, and other parameters depending on the animal species. Statistics usually average between parents, but there's a chance for random "mutation".
Chickens
Wild chickens (junglefowl) spawn in dark forests and other lush forest biomes. They provide meat and lay eggs, but in small quantities and without special value. When taming level reaches above 85%, domestic chickens appear.
Chickens eat seeds, wheat, oats, corn, and peas. Their characteristics determine meat quantity, egg quantity, and eggshell color. Leghorns lay many eggs, while Rhode Island Reds provide better meat. Chickens need nests or special boxes for laying eggs. Leave an egg in the nest for a full game day - if removed earlier, it becomes unviable. Such eggs can be used for cooking and crafting.
Available chicken breeds: Ameraucana, Barred Rock, Leghorn, Marans, Olive Egger, Orpington, Rhode Island Red, and Silkie.
Cows
Small herds of aurochs spawn in flat arid biomes. These powerful bulls look intimidating, but only males and cows with calves show aggression. All aurochs are friendly to players holding wheat. When taming level reaches above 75%, domestic cow breeds can be obtained.
Cows eat wheat, oats, corn, seeds, saplings, and leaves. They also graze on grass blocks, like sheep. Cows have breeding characteristics: growth rate, carcass quality, leather quality, and milk yield. There's a noticeable division between dairy and meat breeds.
Available cow breeds: Angus, Brahma, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Hereford, Highland, Holstein, Jersey, Lakenvelder, and Longhorn.
Rabbits
Wild rabbits spawn in grasslands and meadows. They are timid and run from players, but with carrots, they can be tamed to domestic breeds at 85% taming level. Many rabbits show sexual dimorphism. They build nests from their own fur, and females develop a fatty neck fold (dewlap) to warm their young.
Domestic rabbits eat wheat, corn, oats, and lettuce. They efficiently convert low-quality grain and save space! Rabbits have breeding characteristics: growth rate, carcass quality, hide quality, and litter size. For efficient breeding, choose females with the largest number of offspring.
Rabbit meat is a lean and efficient protein source, perfectly replacing chicken in recipes. Use rabbit parts where chicken is required in crafting!
Available rabbit breeds: American Chinchilla, California, Dutch, Flemish Giant, New Zealand, and Rex.
