ClientModWhitelist - Control of Client Modifications on Server
This modification provides server administrators with tools for monitoring and managing client-side mods that players use when connecting. This helps maintain a fair gaming environment and prevent the use of unwanted modifications.
Main Features
The system allows tracking each player's mod list through the special /modlist command. When joining the server, the current set of installed modifications is automatically registered, giving administrators a complete picture of what participants are using.
Command Usage
The /modlist command offers two operating modes:
• /modlist
• /modlist
Technical Features
The mod is developed for Forge and NeoForge platforms and requires installation only on the server side. This means regular players don't need to install additional files - everything works automatically after being configured by the administrator.
Important Compatibility Note
In Minecraft versions 1.20.4 and above for NeoForge, changes in network architecture have made the automatic sending of mod lists from client to server temporarily unavailable. This is related to user privacy concerns. The developer recommends contacting the NeoForge community with suggestions to restore this functionality.
System Limitations
It's important to understand that the obtained information is not absolutely reliable. Players with malicious intentions can manipulate the displayed mod list. Therefore, this modification does not include an automatic blocking system and serves exclusively as an auxiliary tool for making administrative decisions.
