Clouded Progression - Enhancing the Challenge of the Ancient Path
The mod fundamentally transforms the classical resource progression in Minecraft, while limiting the use of some overly simple methods that could bypass established artificial barriers, particularly village trading.
Main Progression Changes
Initial Restrictions:
- Players can no longer collect wood with bare hands
- Standard stone tools have lost the ability to mine iron ore
New Tool Set:
- Flint tools are now required for wood collection, featuring low durability and minimal damage
- Copper tools have gained the function of mining iron ore, surpassing stone counterparts in durability and efficiency
Trading Limitations:
- Various conditions for interacting with villagers have been added through game parameters
- By default, the "Hero of the Village" title or reaching a certain progression stage is required
- Settings are available in the "VillagerTradingRequirements" game rules section
Update 2.0.0 - Iron Progression Revolution
The latest update completely overhauled the iron acquisition system, introducing a specialized work process.
New Workstation:
- Cold Working Table is crafted from 4 planks and 2 copper ingots, similar to a smithing table
- Provides access to a rhythm-based mini-game that serves as the key element for obtaining iron ingots
Required Equipment:
- Cold Working Hammer - an accessible tool made from stone and copper ingot
- The hammer is placed in a specially designated slot in the new work interface
Experimental Approach:
- Players must study various resource transformation methods
- Active interaction with control elements is required after adding the hammer
- The reward is raw iron ingots upon successful process completion
