Coastal Waves
Have you ever wondered why Minecraft still doesn't have real ocean waves on beaches? Now this gap has been filled! The Coastal Waves mod completely transforms coastal areas by adding realistic waves that not only create an amazing atmosphere with the sounds of surf but also provide practical benefits.
The waves in this mod are not just decorative elements. They can wash up various useful materials on the shore and also interact with entities in their path. This adds new gameplay opportunities and makes visiting beaches much more interesting and rewarding.
Configuration and Compatibility
The mod provides a flexible configuration system through tags:
waves:wave_blocks— blocks that waves can deposit on the shorewaves:has_waves— fluids where waves can appearwaves:has_waves— biomes where waves are generatedwaves:wave_interaction_blacklist— entities excluded from wave interactionwaves:wave_interaction_whitelist— entities specifically allowed for wave interaction
The wave spawn level is configured through the JSON file ./config/waves/waves.json, which already contains default settings for vanilla dimensions.
For minimap users with entity radars: the wave entity identifier is waves:waves, which allows hiding their display if necessary.
