Cobblemon Catch On Defeat
Version: 1.6.1-1.5.0
Imagine a completely new way to expand your Pokémon team in Minecraft! This mod offers an innovative capture method - now you can obtain Pokémon by defeating them in fair combat, rather than the traditional method using Poké Balls.
Main Features
Flexible Defeat-based Capture System
Customize the process to your liking: either designate specific Pokémon for this capture method or make it available to all representatives without exception. Every victory can turn into valuable reinforcement for your team!
Confirmation and Release System
When a Pokémon is ready to join you after defeat, you can enable a confirmation option - allowing you to make a thoughtful decision about expanding your team. If you decline, you release the Pokémon back into the wild.
Automatic Healing and Restrictions
New team members automatically receive full healing upon joining your ranks. Additionally, you can completely disable traditional Poké Ball capture, making battles the only way to obtain new Pokémon.
Compatibility
Required components:
- Main Cobblemon mod
- Cobblemon Tim Core auxiliary component
- owo Lib library
Functionality Testing
To test the mechanics, use the following command in admin mode:
/pokespawn aipom catch_on_defeat=yes
As a result, an Aipom will appear that will reject any attempts to capture it with Poké Balls. You'll need to engage it in battle and win, after which it will become part of your team with full health restored.
Technical Details
Known Operational Features:
During the first world load in a gaming session, autocomplete for Pokémon custom properties in commands may temporarily not display, although the properties themselves function correctly.
Version 1.6.1-1.5.0 required a strictly specific version of Tim Core, but this limitation has now been eased, making the mod compatible with this or newer versions.
