Cobblemon Fight or Flight Reborn

This Cobblemon addon transforms your Pokémon world into a more dynamic and dangerous environment by adding combat interactions outside standard monster battles.

Key Features

Your Pokémon are no longer passive observers - they now actively protect you from hostile Minecraft mobs. When you attack a wild Pokémon or fail to catch one, it may either engage in combat or flee. This decision depends on the Pokémon's level, nature, and the comparison between its offensive and defensive stats.

Particularly aggressive species will attack players without provocation, simply for getting too close (this feature can be disabled in settings). Each Pokémon type applies unique effects when hitting the player, making every encounter a distinctive battle.

Combat System

Depending on their stats, Pokémon have different attack styles:

• If special attack is higher than physical attack, Pokémon use ranged attacks with various effects
• Explosive moves can create destructive explosions
• HP-draining moves can heal the Pokémon based on damage dealt

Your Pokémon use the first move in their moveset. You can use the Poke Staff to select specific moves, allowing even special attackers to engage in melee combat!

Different abilities can reduce the aggression of nearby Pokémon, while Pokémon with high defense stats naturally reduce incoming damage.

Progression and Improvements

Your Pokémon can evolve through non-traditional methods - for example, Primeape evolves by using Rage Fist 20 times against mobs, without requiring traditional Pokémon battles.

Mobs killed by your Pokémon drop items and experience as if killed by a tamed wolf. The system is fully integrated: Pokémon gain experience and EV points from kills without initiating formal battles (provided they deal the final blow).

New Items

Oran Lucky Egg - a new held item that provides additional experience for Pokémon killed by your combat companions. Simply crouch and right-click your Pokémon to give them this useful item.

Customizability

Most parameters can be customized through the config/fightorflight.json5 file. You can specify which Pokémon are always aggressive, which never attack, adjust multipliers, and many other parameters to create the perfect game balance.
