Colored Lux
Colored Lux is a reworked and improved version of the original Albedo mod by elucent, which adds a colored lighting system to Minecraft.
Main Features
This mod implements a full-fledged colored lighting engine into the vanilla game. Technically, there are no limits on the number of light sources - everything depends only on your hardware capabilities. By default, the limit is set to 1500 sources, but it can be significantly increased (though it's not recommended to exceed 4096, as even on powerful graphics cards this can lead to noticeable FPS drops).
Fixed Issues
The mod includes several important fixes:
- Mobs correctly glow red when taking damage
- Proper lighting for items in hand
- Particles respect colored lighting
- Ability to use virtually unlimited number of light sources
New Features
- Configuration of color blending mode in settings (maximum color / color addition)
- Custom JSON files for setting up glow for any blocks
- Ability to add light for non-tile blocks every frame instead of search cycle
- Lux Packs system - similar to resource packs, allows adding support for ANY mods without requiring their direct compatibility with Colored Lux
Important Compatibility Information
Optifine: The mod has PARTIAL support for Optifine. You must disable Render Regions and all shaders. DO NOT REPORT ANY ERRORS WHEN USING OPTIFINE! Such reports will be ignored.
Hardware: The mod may work incorrectly on AMD graphics cards. The cause of this problem is unknown.
Usage Examples
An excellent example of colored lighting work can be seen in the TerrariaCraft mod:
