Combat Circle
The Combat Circle mod implements an advanced artificial intelligence system for mobs that use targeting (such as zombies, spiders, but not piglins). Key features:
Smart Enemy Positioning
Mobs automatically spread across the territory, avoiding clustering when pursuing a target. Instead of crowding together, they form a fan-like formation while continuing to chase the player.
Tactical Encirclement
Enemies try to stay outside the player's attack range until preparing to strike. When approaching, they begin to encircle the player, blocking escape routes and creating tactical advantages.
Dynamic Attack Management
The coordination system limits the number of mobs attacking simultaneously, constantly rotating their composition. This creates continuous pressure from different directions while leaving room for tactical maneuvers, unlike situations where getting caught in a mob crowd means quick death.
Friendly Fire Safety
Ranged mobs attempt to shoot in ways that avoid hitting their allies.
Performance Optimization
The pathfinding algorithm takes only about 100 lines of code, making it lightweight and efficient.
AI Customization via JSON
The mod allows customization of mob behavior using JSON configurations, similar to creating abilities in Origins or spells in Psi. You can create custom enemy behavior scenarios tailored to your needs.
