Companion Bat
Have you dreamed of a faithful companion for your adventures? Would you like a pet that actually helps in combat and exploration? Then meet the companion bat — the perfect partner for any player!
How to Obtain
To get such a helper, you need to feed a regular bat some pumpkin pie. After taming, it turns into an item that can be stored in your inventory and used to summon the companion when needed.
Features
Pocket Companion
When summoning the bat, you receive a special flute that can return it to your inventory. In dangerous situations, the companion automatically teleports to you if the flute is in your inventory.
Leveling System
Your new friend starts weak but becomes stronger with each level. Experience is gained by attacking enemies. You can also speed up development by feeding the bat the rare "Pie o' Enchanting," found in treasure chests.
Item Collection
Give the companion a bundle — and it will start picking up items from the ground, storing them there. When you're nearby, the bat automatically transfers everything found to your inventory.
Equipment
The mod features 9 types of equipment and 6 accessories for bats. They can be found in treasure chests across different dimensions. Each piece of equipment determines the companion's class and provides unique abilities. Accessories add individual skills, often exclusive ones.
Appearance
Armor changes your companion's appearance! For example, here's what a bat looks like in an inferno suit:

The companion's class depends on the equipped gear. Each class has levels that unlock new skills. At the maximum level, the bat gains a permanent unique ability. Hints about where to find equipment can be seen in item descriptions via REI or JEI.
