Configurable Invincibility Frames
This small mod enables you to adjust the duration of "invincibility frames" that occur after a player or mob takes damage.
In standard Minecraft, after any damage event, the target becomes immune to further damage for 20 server ticks (approximately 1 second). This mechanic has persisted since the days when rapid clicking provided maximum sword damage, and has become largely unnecessary in many situations today.
With this modification, you can individually configure the immunity period for various damage types. Each type offers two settings: one specifically for players, and another for all other entities.
The actual damage amounts remain unchanged — only the frequency of its application is modified.
Configurable damage types:
- Damage from players
- Damage from mobs
- Warden projectile attacks
- Wither damage over time
- Magical effects (such as poison)
- Standing in fire
- Standing in lava
- Contact with cacti
- World impacts (falling, crashing into walls with elytra)
- Projectiles (arrows and others)
And many more! The system supports adding custom damage sources introduced by other mods — the configuration includes an option to help identify their names.
Default settings preserve vanilla values — you'll need to implement your desired adjustments. We encourage careful experimentation: setting zero invincibility for fire exposure means death within seconds! Reducing mob damage delay allows multiple enemies to strike simultaneously — perfect for hardcore playthroughs!
