Configurable Nether Portals - Nether Portal Customization

This mod provides advanced configuration options for Nether portals through the game rules system. You gain complete control over portal creation and functionality.

Available Settings

portalsAllowCryingObsidian (default: true) - determines whether crying obsidian can be used to create portals. Disable this option if you want to maintain classic material requirements.

portalsAllowCustomShapes (default: true) - allows the creation of non-standard portal shapes. Enable this feature for a more creative approach to portal building.

portalsCustomSearchMaxDepth (default: 512) - sets the maximum number of blocks the system will check when searching for a valid portal. This setting is only active when custom shapes are enabled.

portalsCustomShapeMinBlocks (default: 1) - the minimum number of portal blocks required to create a working portal. Only works with custom shapes.

portalsCustomShapeMaxBlocks (default: 512) - the maximum allowed number of blocks in a custom-shaped portal. Allows you to control the size of created structures.
