Copper Tools & Armor
This modification adds to Minecraft the ability to create a complete set of weapons, tools, and protective equipment from copper ingots.
Copper Tools
Tools made from copper demonstrate interesting gameplay mechanics: initially, they have increased work speed compared to iron counterparts, but they wear out significantly faster. The main feature is the gradual oxidation process during use. As oxidation accumulates, tools slow down, but their durability noticeably increases.
Wear characteristics:
- New tools lose 4 durability points per use
- Fully oxidized versions consume only 1 durability point
Oxidation Poison
When using oxidized tools for attacks, there is a certain probability of poisoning attacked mobs. The poison effect creates an additional tactical opportunity in combat.
Tool Maintenance
Two methods can be used to restore tool functionality:
- A grindstone removes oxidation, restoring the initial work speed but reducing the tool's maximum durability
- Traditional repair can be performed in an anvil using an axe
Copper Protection
Copper armor is subject to the same oxidation processes as tools. Damage from attacks gradually covers the armor with oxidation, creating an interesting mechanic - when attacked with axes, there is a probability of automatic restoration of part of the armor's durability.
