Correlated
UPDATE: Correlated has been completely redesigned for Fabric/Quilt 1.19.2 and is now available as Excorrelation.
This digital storage mod originally emerged due to the absence of Applied Energistics in version 1.8. Interestingly, Correlated and Refined Storage were released on the same day. Development continued up to version 1.12, and with each update the mod became more functional, which ultimately led to the lack of a stable release during the 1.12 period. Users appreciate it for its convenient interface and harmonious visual style.
Getting Started
In version 2.x, all necessary components can be crafted immediately since the dungeon dimension was never completed. You'll need a Controller, Drive Bay, and Memory Bay. Detailed recipes can be found in JEI.
In versions 0.x and 1.x, you first need to find an Enderic Processor in a dungeon and use it to craft the Controller. Additionally, you'll need a Drive Bay. All recipes are also available in JEI.
How It Works
All Correlated network blocks (Controller, Drive Bay, and others) that have direct connection with the Controller are considered part of a unified storage system.
After creating the system (a Terminal is usually also useful), you can supply power from various supported sources (including MJ, RF, FE, EU, Tesla, and Neon) to the Controller. In versions 0.x/1.x, power consumption depends on the number of components, while in 2.x it's stable with temporary spikes when the system is used.
Drives store specific items, while Memory tracks item types. For efficient storage system operation, a reasonable balance between them is necessary.
Wireless Technologies
Newer versions offer three wireless connection methods: Optical, Beacon, and Microwave.
Optical communication provides basic wireless connection over short distances, presenting the connected system as an APN accessible through a Wireless Terminal or another Controller.
Beacon Lenses can be placed above active beacons to reflect APN within their range (thus requiring combination with an Optical Transceiver or another beacon with lens).
Microwave Beams connect to each other by right-clicking on placed blocks, creating a connection between two systems at any distance provided there's line of sight.
