Cosmetic Armor [FABRIC]

This mod is designed for use with Fabric.

This Fabric mod provides you with 4 additional armor slots. Items equipped in them will be displayed on your character but will not provide any defensive properties or other functional advantages. For example, a decorative carved pumpkin will not protect you from endermen, and decorative golden armor will not prevent piglins from attacking you.

Versions for Minecraft 1.17 and newer

Requires: Trinkets API

After Curios was discontinued for Fabric in version 1.17 in favor of Trinkets API, this mod now uses the latter.

Versions for MC 1.17 and above also add several new features and fix bugs present in the previous version:

• All modded armor sets are now automatically compatible without additional actions on your part
• Items no longer display the text "Slot: Cosmetic Something"
• Heads, skulls, and other head items (such as carved pumpkins) can now be equipped in cosmetic slots
• The item tag system allows defining items that cannot be worn in cosmetic slots (data/cosmetic-armor/tags/items/blacklist.json), as well as items that are always displayed and not replaced by items in the corresponding cosmetic slots (data/cosmetic-armor/tags/items/always_visible.json)

Version for Minecraft 1.16

Requires: Curios API

By default, only standard vanilla armor can be equipped.

You can add modded armor through the tags: curios:cosmetic_helmet, curios:cosmetic_chestplate, curios:cosmetic_leggings, and curios:cosmetic_boots.

Hiding armor

If you want to hide your armor using these slots, there is an additional addon that adds "transparent armor" specifically designed for use in cosmetic slots.
