Countdown (pretty timer)
This modification allows you to place an elegant countdown timer on the Minecraft screen, with appearance customizable through resource packs. As the countdown approaches its end, sound alerts play: one hour, 30 minutes, 10 minutes before completion, and when time expires.
This feature is particularly useful for streamers undertaking various Minecraft challenges, but its applications extend far beyond that - I'm confident you'll discover numerous ways to utilize it!
Configuration and Control
All parameters are saved in the countdown-client.toml configuration file, including screen position and current timer value.
Use in-game commands for management:
/cd add
- Adds specified time to the current timer
/cd set
- Sets exact timer value in seconds
/cd start
- Starts the countdown
/cd stop
- Stops the timer
/cd reset
- Resets timer to zero
/cd setposition <left|right> <top|bottom>
- Sets timer position on screen. Use negative values for bottom-right alignment.
Appearance Customization
You can download a Photoshop template to customize the timer's digit appearance. Alternatively, create a 256x256 pixel transparent image and arrange digits from 0 to 9 and colon in 64x80 format.
