Crazy Chocobos!
This mod brings into Minecraft the iconic creatures from the famous Final Fantasy game series by Square Enix - fun and colorful chocobos! Become a true chocobo breeder and embark on amazing adventures riding these feathered friends.
Find and raise chocobos
In hot biomes of the Overworld, chocobo nests can occasionally be found. Breaking such a nest yields 1-3 eggs. To hatch a chick from an egg, simply right-click on the ground with the egg in hand.
Three unique breeds
Chocobos come in three different breeds, each with their own characteristics:
- Destrier - the largest and most resilient, but slower
- Rounsey - versatile mounts with excellent speed and jumping ability
- Kennel - small and agile, perfect for maneuverable riding
Incredible variety
What makes these creatures truly unique - almost 5000 possible appearance variations! Color combinations, patterns, and breeds ensure every player gets a completely unique pet.
Usage and equipment
Chocobos are tamed similarly to horses and prefer the same food. Saddles can be equipped for riding and chests for carrying items - chests can be removed using shears if needed.
Additional features
The mod settings include a "Replace Horses" option that, when activated, replaces all regular horses, donkeys, and mules in the world with chocobos.
Technical issues
If chocobo animations are working incorrectly or not playing, this might be related to a Geckolib issue. Try disabling entity shadows in both game and shader settings, especially when using mods like Iris.
