My performance problems were caused by Sophisticated and Tom's storage. This mod is only effective if you have an unoptimized storage system.
My Create server had lag problems, so I decided to create this tiny performance mod.
Performance
My server's MSPT:
- Before - 75ms
- After - 18ms

How it works
Create: Less Ticking decreases the rate some Create components tick at by a factor of 3. Specifically funnels and chutes, which are the largest source of server lag with normal usage.
This severely increases performance without much gameplay impact
What about belts?
Shut up! Belts mostly cause client lag. (lower FPS)
Their impact on the server is almost negligible and it would also be hard to implement.
Downsides
Overclocked funnels may be slower. (overclocking = pulsing a redstone signal to reset the funnel cooldown)
