
Soul Shards - Collecting Creatures' Souls
This mod provides the ability to collect the souls of slain creatures in special gem fragments, opening new horizons for creating automated mob farms.
Game Mechanics
To begin, you need to enter the Nether, after which creating your first shard becomes available. The crafting process is quite simple - you need to build a specific structure and right-click on its center with a diamond in hand.
When performing your first kill with an activated shard (placed on the hotbar or in the offhand), it binds to a specific creature type. From this point on, the shard will only collect souls of that particular mob type.
Soul Collection Acceleration
The soul accumulation process can be significantly accelerated. Two effective methods are available:
- Vile Sword - adds one additional soul per kill
- "Soul Stealer" enchantment - each level increases the number of souls received by one
The maximum possible number of souls per kill is 7: 1 base + 1 from the sword + 5 from the maximum enchantment level.
An interesting feature is the ability to destroy corresponding mob spawners. If you right-click on such a spawner with a bound shard, the spawner will be consumed, and the soul counter will increase by 200 units.
Soul Cages
When the accumulated soul count reaches a certain level, it's recommended to create a specialized soul cage. By placing a filled shard in it, you'll get an endless source of the bound creature's spawns.

This mod is an adapted version of Soul Shards: Respawn and is compatible with any modpacks without restrictions.
