This Minecraft mod fundamentally changes the game's critical hit mechanics. Instead of the classic airborne critical attacks, it introduces an advanced system with random chances for both melee and ranged combat. Special emphasis is placed on visual and sound effects that enhance the feeling of a powerful strike.
Critical Hit Mechanics
The system utilizes random chance mechanics, completely replacing jump-based critical hits. It features support for both close combat and ranged weapons. Players can fine-tune the probability of landing critical hits and the additional damage through configuration files. For performance optimization, there's a batch calculation option for crit chances.
Visual Effects and Audio Accompaniment
Critical hits are accentuated by spectacular particle effects:
- Sparkles – a shower of sparkling particles radiating from the impact point
- Skulls – floating skull elements rising smoothly and fading away
- Rings – animated rings expanding from the center of impact
All effects support color customization. Audio accompaniment includes two variants of critical hit sounds with adjustable volume levels separately for melee and ranged combat.

Critical Hit Chance

- Base characteristic: +5%
- Increases through spells and potion effects
Critical Hit Damage
(critical_strike:damage)
- Base multiplier: +50% (×1.5 to damage)
- Reinforced through charms and special effects
Enchantments
- Critical Hit (max level 5) – increases crit chance by +4% per level
- Critical Impact (max level 5) – boosts critical damage by +10% per level
These enchantments are compatible with swords, axes, bows, crossbows, and various other weapons.
Potion Effects
Introduced two beneficial potion effects available in multiple forms:
- Critical Hit Effect – enhances crit probability (+5% per level)
- Critical Impact Effect – increases crit damage (+10% per level)
All effects are implemented as regular, splash, lingering potions, and tipped arrows.
