Tired of too simple and predictable enchantments in Minecraft? Then this mod is made specifically for you! Cursed offers many new cursed enchantments with diverse negative effects that can radically change the gameplay.
Collection of Curses
The mod adds a whole arsenal of cursed enchantments, each creating unique problems for the player:
- Curse of Blindness - Seriously limits the owner's field of view. Applied to helmets.
- Curse of Curtail - Reduces the block interaction distance. Applied to tools.
- Curse of Echos - Makes the owner hear non-existent sounds of hostile mobs. Works with helmets.
- Curse of Encumbrance - Slows down attack speed. Affects weapons.
- Curse of Fading - Items disappear faster when dropped on the ground. Applies to all items.
- Curse of Fragility - Accelerates item durability wear. Affects everything with durability.
- Curse of Ignorance - Mining inappropriate blocks causes serious durability damage. Affects all tools.
- Curse of Insomnia - Deprives the owner of the ability to sleep. Applied to helmets.
- Curse of Misfortune - Significantly reduces player's luck. Affects tools and weapons.
- Curse of Obedience - Binds to the first owner and blocks use by other players. Works with all items.
- Curse of Radiance - Makes the owner glow brightly and be visible through blocks. Applied to chestplates.
- Curse of Silence - Deprives the owner of the ability to make sounds. Applied to footwear.
- Curse of Sinking - Accelerates sinking in water.
- Curse of Dullness - Reduces weapon damage.
- Curse of Ruin - Prohibits repair of cursed items in an anvil.
- Curse of Midas - Turns loot from blocks, mob drops, and fishing catch into gold!
Frequently Asked Questions
How to get these curses?
Under normal conditions, cursed enchantments can only be found in loot chests or obtained through trading with villagers. These are standard game mechanics that the mod does not change.
Does the mod affect the enchantment table?
Cursed enchantments cannot be obtained through the enchantment table under normal conditions. The mod preserves vanilla balance and does not make changes to this mechanic.

The mod development was part of the annual Spooky Jam event from MMD - a celebration of modding and all things spooky.
