Custom Map Resetter - Tool for Speedrunning Maps
This mod is specifically designed for enthusiasts of speedrunning custom maps in Minecraft. It automates the world reset process by copying and reloading selected save files for maximum efficiency.
How to Use
On the main menu screen next to the "Singleplayer" button, you'll find a diamond boots icon. Hold Shift and click on it to select the desired world for resetting. After selection, simply click the icon again to start the reset process.
When reset mode is active, the "Save and Quit to Title" button instantly creates a new copy of the world and moves you into it. To exit the mode, you need to go into options and click the "Stop Resets & Quit" button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
There's also an option to disable auto-resetting if you only need the world copying and deletion functionality.
Managing Created Copies
After finishing your session, you can hold Shift and click the diamond boots icon again, then select the "Delete Session Worlds" option to remove all copies created by the mod. If you close the game, information about which worlds were created by the mod won't be saved, so you'll need to delete them manually or using external scripts.
Attempt Counting System
Attempt counters are tracked by world folder name and saved in the file [instance_folder]\config\custom-map-attempts.txt. Additionally, a read-only file [instance_folder]\attempt.txt is created containing the current reset count for the current map, which is convenient for use with OBS and other file reading programs.
