Custom Nausea
This project has been discontinued. Minecraft 1.16.2 introduced new accessibility settings, including the ability to adjust the intensity of the nausea effect. Although this mod also includes a stumbling feature, I believe this alone is not enough to continue development since the mod's main purpose is now obsolete.
Custom Nausea is a modification that allows players to customize the intensity of the nausea visual effect through the configuration file. It is designed for those who find the standard screen flickering too intense or, simply put, uncomfortable. Additionally, the settings allow you to change the strength of the distortion when passing through a portal, as well as add a "stumbling" effect when under the influence of nausea, which replaces or supplements the standard screen flickering. This mechanic is inspired by a suggestion on r/minecraftsuggestions.
Nausea Effect Settings
- Modifier — a decimal number that determines the intensity of the nausea visual effect. The default value is 1.0, which corresponds to the standard effect strength.
- Stumbling Movement — if enabled, the nausea effect will cause sharp random movements, making normal walking and running difficult.
Portal Settings
- Modifier — a decimal number that adjusts the intensity of the distortion when passing through a portal. The default value is 1.0 (standard effect strength).
