Custom Tweaks
The goal of the Custom Tweaks mod is to provide modpack creators and server owners with convenient tools for fine-tuning their projects. This is achieved through a modular architecture — the mod consists of several independent components, each responsible for a specific feature set. By default, all modules are disabled and can be activated through the configuration file.
Available modules include the following:
Branding
- Changing the yellow splash text on the main screen to a custom inscription.
- Customizing the game window title to match your project.
- Adding or replacing the brand list in the lower left corner of the main menu.
Server List
- Automatically adding servers to the player's connection list.
- Removing outdated or unnecessary server addresses from the list.
Update Notifications
- Sending messages to players using a non-recommended version of the pack.
- Setting up notification text on the main screen.
- Displaying a message in the chat when a player joins the server.
- Messages are loaded from an online file in JSON format.
Planned Features
- Custom Rewards — providing players with custom cloaks, elytras, or other unique effects.
- Link Buttons in the Main Menu — adding interface elements with quick access to content (e.g., a Discord server).
- Starter Items — issuing certain items to players when creating or entering a world (e.g., written books).
Frequently Asked Questions:
- Does the mod work on the server? Yes, absolutely — it functions on both the client and server sides.
- Can I suggest a new feature? Of course, we consider proposals that benefit a wide range of users.
- Is it allowed to use in custom packs? Yes, provided that authorship and a link to the original project are indicated.
- Does giving away cloaks violate EULA rules? Initially, it might seem that distributing cloaks could violate Mojang's rules. However, server authors can use distribution algorithms strictly within the permissible internal limitations of non-commercial usage models.
