Dadobug1111's Bedrock Ores - Fabric
Important Notice: This modification has been replaced by Dadobug1111's Ores, which offers full feature compatibility with this version but includes an enhanced configuration system, additional ore types, and numerous minor improvements. Always create a world backup before switching mods!
Core Concept
This modification introduces a special type of ore to the game that cannot be permanently destroyed. While regular blocks disappear when mined, these ores remain in place, allowing infinite resource collection.
Key Features
Mining Conditions
These ores can only be harvested using two methods:
- With netherite tools
- Through explosions from TNT or creepers
Any other mining attempts will be ineffective. If you adjust the required tool level in settings, the tool requirement for mining will update accordingly.
Fluid Ores
Certain ores, when right-clicked with a bucket, create an infinite source of the corresponding fluid. Fluids from other mods may have built-in limiters applied.
Experience Ore
Special experience ore grants XP when mined or produces XP bottles when used with empty bottles.
Configuration and Customization
Configuration files allow modification of block properties and world generation. Zero values in block generation settings indicate no effect.
Tags for Additional Customization:
dadobugbedrockores:no_break— blocks cannot be broken (unaffected by explosions)dadobugbedrockores:enchant_break— blocks can only be broken with tools containing bedrock enchantments (unaffected by explosions)
These tags apply exclusively to bedrock ores.
New Features
Block regeneration has been enhanced — all block breaking mechanisms should no longer cause permanent ore removal.
You can configure allowed enchantment sources (enchantment table, villagers, loot).
Blocks can now be set as finite — they utilize a durability system that shatters them when depleted.
Enchantment Usage
Shattering
When mined with Shattering enchantment, the ore is lost but drops are multiplied by 3-7, with additional drop bonuses from the enchantment level, while still receiving fortune/silk touch benefits. Experience drops are multiplied by (shattering level × 2) + 1 (maximum 11×). Shattering turns the ore into bedrock or air depending on spawn location.
Curse of Fracturing
Curse of Fracturing transforms the ore into fractured bedrock without releasing any resources.
Extraction
Enchanted with Extraction, the ore becomes hollow bedrock and drops a regenerative cluster while preserving block durability. Clusters can restore bedrock ores when used on hollow bedrock.
Arcane Extraction
Upon mining, the ore shatters and drops the block itself, keeping block durability intact.
Curse of Shattering
Reduces the ore to dust without yielding any resources.
Gentle Mining
Finite ores lose less durability per mining operation, enabling additional resource extraction from each ore block.
Important: These enchantments function exclusively on bedrock ores and do not affect any other block types.
