Daily Quests

A Minecraft mod that creates a system of daily quests. Every in-game morning, players receive new random tasks that can be completed for experience and item rewards.

Key Features

The mod includes 21 types of randomized tasks covering all aspects of Minecraft gameplay:

  • Biome Exploration - Discovering new territories
  • Mob Breeding - Creating viable animal populations
  • Enemy Combat - Fighting hostile creatures
  • Introduction to game mechanics - Options for beginner players

There are also quests focused on crafting, enchanting, fishing, trading with villagers, and much more. The system provides a small task list to complete every in-game day.

The mod offers flexible configuration options:

Time and Quantity

  • newQuestGenerateTimeInTicks (default 1000) - When to generate new quests
  • defaultTotalQuestCount (default 3) - How many daily tasks to assign
  • maximumQuestReRollsPerDay (default 1) - Limit on task re-rolls

Rewards and Notifications

  • giveExperienceOnQuestCompletion - Enable experience rewards
  • broadcastMessageOnCompletion - Completion notifications
  • spawnFireworksOnQuestCompletion - Celebration effects

Initial instructions can be modified or completely removed. Creators can control every aspect of quest list display on screen.

Quest Types

Diverse tasks are available: Reflecting projectiles, Mob breeding, Potion brewing, Fishing, Honey collection, Village raid completion, Item crafting, Equipment enchanting, Biome exploration, Level gaining, Resource gathering, Crop harvesting, Creeper activation, Shadow captureing, Sheep shearing, Hostile creature elimination, Material smelting, Animal taming, Villager trading, Distance travel, and Tool usage.

Individual Task Configuration

Enable/disable options for each type provide complete content control.

Reward System

Quests provide items through loot tables of following categories:

  • Regular reward - For most completed quests
  • Enhanced reward - Every 10 achievements
  • Significant reward - Every 50 completed missions
  • Special reward - Every 100 solved attempts

Presets can be modified via datapacks, enabling personalized reward customization for specific servers or projects.

Commands

Two main commands (/dailyquests or /dq) provide access to following actions:

  • info - Completed quest statistics
  • quests - Displaying current tasks via chat

Debug procedures include forced stage assignment and characteristic resetting.

Interface interaction

Messages and visual elements dynamically interact with users. Quest list window adjusts automatically according to requirements, ensuring no clipping with other Minecraft interface elements or additional mods.
