Day Length - Customizable Time System in Minecraft
Day Length mod provides players and server owners with the ability to customize the duration of day and night in the game, as well as synchronize in-game time with the real world. This is an ideal solution for realistic gameplay, roleplay servers, and anyone who wants more control over the passage of time in their Minecraft world.
⚠ Requires AnCore Lib library to function properly.
Main Features
Custom Day Duration
By default, a Minecraft day lasts 24000 ticks (20 minutes). With Day Length, you can change this duration, making the day shorter or longer. A new game command is used for management:
/gamerule customDayLength [minutes]
For example, the command /gamerule customDayLength 1440 sets a full game day equal to 24 real hours. The value is specified in real-time minutes, giving full control over the speed of time flow.
Real-Time Synchronization
For greater immersion, the mod can synchronize game time with real time. When this feature is enabled, time in Minecraft is automatically adjusted according to the server's system clock:
/gamerule realTimeSync true
For example, if the server operates in UTC+2 timezone and the local time is 14:00, the game will also set the time to 14:00. This feature is especially useful for long-term survival servers, city-building projects, and realistic gameplay.
Smooth Time Transition
Instead of abruptly moving time forward, Day Length dynamically adjusts tick speed for smooth time changes:
- Prevents sudden jumps of the sun and moon when settings are changed
- Ensures natural changes in lighting and environment
