Days Of Modding
This mod represents a personal development project that the creator worked on for 25 days to improve their modding skills. While the author continued programming daily, creating full-fledged mods every day proved too demanding, so they limited this demonstration period to 25 days.
Random Collection of Additions
The mod includes diverse content added sequentially throughout the development days:
Early Adventures (Days 1-5)
Starting out, the author introduced several interesting mechanics:
- Regeneration totem from MC Dungeons - a magical artifact that restores health
- Specialized villagers: Lumberjack (workstation - axe log block) and Miner (anvil workstation)
- Miners helmet with night vision function for safe cave exploration
- Hunting jacket that increases bow damage by 20%
- Redstone timer delivering pulses with adjustable intervals from 1 to 10 seconds
- Redstone engineer with their unique workstation
- Soft landing boots completely negating Ender pearl damage
Musical Innovations (Days 6-8)
The main achievement was the boombox - an enhanced version of the music player:
- All music discs available by default without searching
- Intuitive controls: right-click to switch tracks, shift+click to control playback
- User manual available by combining a book and note block
- Hunters table with its own crafting system and JEI support
- Jam sandwich as a food source
- Battle harness providing strength when worn with a sword
Botanical Improvements (Days 9-13)
The plant world received important additions:
- Botanist villager trading flowers
- Flower vase as botanist workstation, capable of generating flowers when using bone meal
- Customizable configurations for flower generation
- Tag support for flower vase (technically challenging implementation)
- Decorative lamp block
Development Epilogue (Days 14-25)
After day 13, the author stopped active development of this mod, switching to work on another project - the main reason became new interest in working with bees within another game modification.
