Death Animations

This data pack is designed for Minecraft versions 1.16x and 1.17x!

Features

Mobs receive new, epic animations when they die. Inspired by iChun's Mob Dismemberment mod.

Works with: Zombies, Husks, Skeletons, Strays, Creepers, Drowned, Spiders, Cave Spiders, Phantoms, Villagers, Pillagers, Evokers, Vindicators, Illusioners, Pigs, Cows, Chickens, Sheep, Iron Golems, Ravagers, and Endermites.

Most body parts can be picked up with a right-click. They can also be used in a crafting table or even eaten.

Make sure to customize the data pack to your needs by opening the settings (/trigger settings)

Installation

Decide whether you want to download the pack as a pure data pack [DP] or packaged as a mod [Mod]. Place the pure data pack .zip file into the datapacks folder of your Minecraft world, or the mod into your .minecraft/mods folder. Don't forget to also install the resource pack if you're playing with the data pack!

Issues

If you encounter an issue in version 1.4, there's a high chance it has already been fixed in the rewritten version! If you find an issue in the rewritten version, feel free to report it.

Compatibility

For Minecraft 1.14x and 1.15x, use a legacy edition (Mediafire). Update for Minecraft 1.21x in progress!
