Death Compass [Legacy Fabric]

Note: Death Compass is discontinued as of July 20, 2022. In Minecraft versions 1.19+, it's recommended to use the built-in recovery compass!

📖 About the Mod

After each character death, Death Compass provides a useful tool - a special compass that will show the way to your last death location. During use, the device also displays the distance separating you from your target. Inventory tooltips contain all necessary information about your recent demise.

💡 FAQ

Q: How do I configure this mod? A: Direct in-game configuration editing hasn't been implemented yet. Instead, while in a world, run the /config showfile <modid> command by selecting either CLIENT or SERVER (depending on the mod), then click on the file name (ending with .toml) that appears in chat to manually edit the configuration file in a separate editor. After saving the file, the configuration will automatically reload in-game after a few seconds, so no game restart is needed.

Q: I'm not getting a death compass after respawning! A: There are certain situations, such as being in creative mode, where you won't receive a death compass to prevent this feature from becoming annoying. Configuration options exist to change this behavior.
