This is an updated version of the dense-ores mod by rwtema, adapted for Minecraft 1.12.2.

Main Advantages

The main difference between this mod and other similar solutions is complete configurability. You can create dense versions of any ores, with textures being generated automatically.

Important: the configuration format has been changed. Metadata support is no longer provided - instead, use the relevant block properties.

Mod Details

The mod adds "dense" versions of ore blocks to the game, which yield 3 times more resources when mined compared to regular ores. Each chunk generates from 1 to 10 dense blocks that replace already existing ores. As a result, the total amount of obtainable ores increases by approximately 5%.

Textures for dense ores are created dynamically based on base ore textures and corresponding stone textures. This means you don't need to create separate textures for your texture packs (although you can do so if you're not satisfied with the automatic generation result).
