Diamethyst Arrows

This is an official add-on for the Diamethysts modification that requires the main mod to function properly.

What is this mod about?

During the development of the Diamethysts update with bows and arrows, many arrow variants were proposed that ultimately didn't make it into the main version due to deviation from the vanilla game style. Instead of discarding these ideas, they were implemented as a separate add-on, giving players the freedom to choose whether to use them or not.

Mod Features

Diamethyst Web Arrow

An arrow with sticky webbing that slows down hit mobs and creates cobwebs when hitting blocks. After creating the web, the arrow turns back into a regular Diamethyst Arrow. To craft, you need to prepare a Diamethyst Infused Web Goo Brew potion by mixing cobweb with a thick potion and adding Diamethyst Dust, then surround the resulting potion with arrows.

Diamethyst Weeping Arrow

An arrow with obsidian tears that inflicts the same negative effects on mobs as drinking Bottled Obsidian Tears. When hitting obsidian, there's a small chance of returning the tears to the block, but the arrow breaks in the process. To get Bottled Obsidian Tears, use an empty bottle on crying obsidian.

Diamethyst Wither Arrow

Creates a wither cloud upon hitting a target, applying the withering effect to hit mobs and those entering the cloud for 5 seconds (configurable). Arrows retain their effect through multiple uses until hitting a mob. Deal additional damage to wither skeletons (configurable). Requires a wither skull for crafting.

Diamethyst Smoke Arrow

Charged by placing Diamethyst Arrows around a campfire. After charging, arrows automatically detach and are ready for use. Creates a tall smoke column when hitting blocks, useful for signaling. Requires recharging after use. Deals normal damage to mobs without creating smoke.

Diamethyst Colored Smoke Arrows

Created by combining Diamethyst Smoke Arrows with any dye (except white, since the base smoke color is already white). Behavior is identical to regular smoke arrows but with changed smoke color.

Diamethyst Prismarine Arrow

Can be used underwater without penalties and deals increased damage to mobs in water.

Diamethyst Water Arrow

Creates water at the impact point, then turns back into a Diamethyst Arrow. Doesn't work in the Nether. If the arrow cannot place water, it can be picked up and reused.

Diamethyst Lava Arrow

Creates lava at the impact point, then turns back into a Diamethyst Arrow. If the arrow cannot place lava, it can be picked up and reused.

Diamethyst Water Sponge Arrow

Absorbs water upon contact, similar to a sponge block. After saturation turns into a Diamethyst Wet Water Sponge Arrow, which must be dried before reuse.

Diamethyst Wet Water Sponge Arrow

Water-saturated version of the sponge arrow that flies slower and deals minimal damage. Can be dried in a furnace or by shooting in the Nether, after which it becomes Diamethyst Water Sponge Arrow again.

Diamethyst Lava Sponge Arrow

Absorbs lava upon contact, turning into a Diamethyst Saturated Lava Sponge Arrow, which must be cooled before reuse.

Diamethyst Saturated Lava Sponge Arrow

Lava-saturated version of the sponge arrow that flies slower and deals minimal damage but sets hit mobs on fire. Cooled by shooting into a powdered snow block, after which it becomes Diamethyst Lava Sponge Arrow again.

Diamethyst Glow Arrow

Illuminates space during flight and at the landing point. Doesn't work underwater. When hitting a mob, makes it glow for 10 seconds (configurable).

Diamethyst Dragon's Breath Arrow

Creates a voluminous dragon's breath cloud at the impact point. Like the Ender Dragon's breath attack, the cloud doesn't harm undead but is dangerous to living beings.

Compatibility
