Digital Items 3
This modification is a continuation and development of the original Digital Items 2 mod. Although the functionality is practically identical to the previous version, it's worth noting that the energy consumption system is not yet activated in the current implementation.
The main concept of the mod allows converting any items into unique numerical identifiers (IDs). These digital codes can be safely stored or transferred to other players, and then used to restore the original items. Each generated ID is absolutely unique, cannot be guessed randomly, and can only be used once.
The system completely eliminates the possibility of duplicating or cloning items. The process of converting an item into a digital code is called "digitization," while the reverse restoration is called "rematerialization."
An important feature is the "decay" system of digitized items. If an item remains in digital form for too long without being updated, it may be permanently lost. To prevent this, you can "refresh" the item's ID or perform partial rematerialization, which will reset the decay timer.
Information about digitized items can be obtained both through their identifiers and directly through the digitizer interface. All operations are performed using a special device - the digitizer, which in future versions will consume a configurable amount of energy.
The mod provides integration with CC: Tweaked as a peripheral device, opening up possibilities for process automation through computer systems.
