Discontinuous Beacon Beams
Transform the visual display of beacon beams
This client-side mod introduces important changes to how beacon beams are displayed when they encounter transparent glass in their path. No more continuous beams passing through glass structures - they will now correctly interrupt and resume in appropriate locations.
How it works
Beacon beams stop displaying when passing through regular glass and glass panes. Once the beam encounters another transparent colored block in its path, its display resumes. All changes are purely visual - the physical properties of blocks remain unchanged.
Flexible configuration
The mod supports integration with Cloth Config and Mod Menu for convenient configuration, though their presence is not required. If Cloth Config is absent, parameters will use default values.
Main settings include:
- List of blocks that hide beacon beams (default: regular glass and glass panes)
- Enable/disable beam hiding by transparent blocks
- Preserve beam color when display resumes
- Effect of colored blocks on beam visibility
- Complete disable of beacon beams
Compatibility
The mod is designed for Fabric and fully compatible with Quilt. Forge support is not planned, however the project is distributed under MIT license, allowing other developers to create ports.
